Project Overview

Deegits Technology Ltd built a full-featured Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) system for retail businesses — from independent shops to multi-site chains. Designed to be intuitive and fast, it streamlines checkout, keeps stock accurate in real time, and gives managers the reporting they need to make better decisions.

The Challenge

Retailers were relying on basic tills and manual stock counts, leading to shrinkage, inaccurate margins, and slow peak-hour queues. Managers had no live view of sales by product, shift, or location, and end-of-day reconciliation was a time-consuming manual process. The goal was a modern, touchscreen EPOS that would work in a single shop or scale across multiple branches.

System Features

  • Fast Checkout — Barcode scanner integration, touchscreen product grid, and support for cash, card, and mobile wallet payments.
  • Live Inventory Control — Stock levels update automatically with every sale. Low-stock alerts trigger reorder notifications before shelves run empty.
  • Product Catalogue — Categories, SKU codes, images, prices, and tax bands all managed from one screen.
  • Customer Loyalty — Optional loyalty card scheme with points tracking, discount redemption, and purchase history per customer.
  • Shift & End-of-Day Reports — Automatic sales summaries, cash reconciliation, and till discrepancy alerts per shift.
  • Multi-Location Management — Centralised dashboard showing sales and stock across all branches in real time.
  • Discounts & Promotions — Time-limited price rules, bulk discounts, and voucher code support.
  • Hardware Compatible — Works with receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and customer-facing displays.
  • Role-Based Access — Cashier, supervisor, and manager roles each with appropriate access levels and PIN login.
  • Cloud or On-Premise — Flexible deployment — store data locally for reliability or in the cloud for remote access.

Outcome

Retailers using the system reported faster checkout times during peak hours, elimination of stock discrepancies that were previously discovered only during quarterly counts, and a measurable reduction in shrinkage. The live reporting dashboard allowed managers to identify best-selling products and underperforming lines within days of go-live.
